Time is Essence - 1 precious month

Today is 28th December, 2009. And yes, people. It has been 1 month since I got the two rings which his Momma hardly put on my finger because I don't know how on earth those rings didn't fit me on that day. Haihh... But, yeah, it's exciting!

Flashback time!

Sarung cincin.

En. Selangor and me.

Since Abah hospitalized last week, I got an opportunity to spend more precious time at home-sweet-home, having exciting talk with the siblings. Mak told me that Kak Ngah and Abang Ngah (again) volunteer to help me in decorating dulang hantaran and also pelamin for my wedding ceremony. I couldn't find words to thank the siblings (especially Kak Ngah and Abang Ngah, of course) for showing me their love and care so that I can eliminate all the worries and doubts thinking about my wedding preparation.

I did show them some design of dulang hantaran and pelamin from Majalah Pengantin which I love the most. Since the wedding dress on my side will be lite peach color, we discussed about what kind of combination colors can be used.

Isk isk, Abang Ngah ni macam tau-tau ja I tengah dok pikiaq pasal pelamin. I just received a phone call from Nadirah, asking my e-mail address because Abang Ngah want to send me his first draft for the pelamin. So, here it is. Many thanks, Abang Ngah.

Ignore the colors used. Haven't finalized the color combination yet. But so far, this is the concept.

heyAwak: My niece, Nur Amnani Suffiya, started asking me about her flower-girl-dress. So cute of her when I saw a worried face of her thinking about it. Siapa cakap bakal pengantin je risau? Heheh

What say you?

Almost done with the theme color for our wedding dress. We decided to wear peach on my side (planned to used it for our akad nikah at the first place), and black-purple on his side. Since the peach color's taken, we need to find other color for our akad nikah ceremony. Haven't discussed the color yet, but we prefer some type of vibrant color.

Any idea, anyone?
Hint: A big no-no to white, cream and blue.

Let's move to the next part. This is pretty important. We are looking for a photographer to capture every single moment on our wedding day. Talking about this, we need your opinion about the packages to be considered for this photography thing.

Basically, there are three types of packages offered, if I'm not mistaken.
  • Digital Package - All photos on CD or DVD. We need to print out our own pictures and create our own album. The cheapest package. Suit for those who delightfully tacky, low budget. But we need to be creative in creating our own album.
  • Sticky Album Package - Not much different from the first one. The photos are printed by the designer but we still need to create our own album (Sometimes, the designer already arrange the photos in the album for us). Like a normal album.
  • Storyboard Album Package - It narrates a story, like a story of the wedding day from the beginning to end. The photos will be printed in the custom storyboard album. More expensive compared to the first and second package.

The flowers will die. The food may rot. But the photos are forever, so they better not suck. Somebody hook me up with a decent wedding photographer, please. Pretty please.

The word decent here means:
  • Limited budget. 1k (Gila kedekut)
  • Akad nikah ceremony will be held in the morning while bersanding will be on the noon. This is why we limit our budget to 1k. Two events in the same day.
  • Happy to travel to Sungkai, Perak. It will be much better if we manage to get those who near to that area.

Back to the packages offered, we need your favor here. If you were in our shoes, which package you prefer the most? Is it possible we manage to get the photography services and the storyboard album with maximum 1k budget?

We're really trying to stick to our budget. If you're a wedding photographer, or know a good one who might fit the budget stated, please forward yours/his/her contact info or link it to us. Really appreciate it. =)

heyAwak: We've been engaged for 2 weeks and 5 days. It's exciting, most of the time.

Ya Allah, Forgive me

Honestly, I am sick thinking about this wedding thing. As people said, marriage happens once in a life time and those who get marriage are the luckiest and happiest people on this earth. The thing is, what am I suppose to do to make sure I can be the luckiest and happiest person without having to worry every single thing about the days before the big day?

The preparation I mean.

I had a chat with En. Selangor just now. I let him know how worried I am about this thing.

He replied,
"So, nak cancel?"

I asked him back,
"Boleh?"

And I got "Ngok!" in return.

Hope everything gonna be okay. Do pray for us, please.

heyAwak: Dear Allah, please give us strength and guidance. Amin.

Do black and purple look okay together?

Purple is a very hard color to match with others. But black gives the purple the attention and edge it needs.

I think it will be great.

heyAwak: What do you think?

Weddings are so emotionally charged

I have to start focusing on wedding preparation. En Selangor and me had quite a tough so-called discussion with his Momma about the planning for our big day which Insya-Allah will be on June 2010.

After performing Zuhur prayer, his Momma came down and bring some magazines with her. I look at En Selangor and smile when I saw what kind of magazine she gave me. Pengantin. Anjung Seri. O-o, so I knew she wanted us to take a look and make a decision about the color, design and theme for our big day.

We haven't decide the color yet. But we do love the combination of red and black for our pelamin. We showed several snaps of pelamin with that colors combination. Hmm..seem like his Momma doesn't agree with that. But she's willing to do the same design for us, with different color.

Talking about the dress, I want to look like her in my wedding day. Obviously it's not suitable for us to wear that kind of suit for the ceremony on my side. Guess it will be okay for his side. So En Selangor asked his Momma,

"Ma, pakai gown nanti boleh tak?"

" Jangan nak ngade. Nak gown-gown pegi tangkap gamba kat kedai."

O-o...

Babai angan-angan.

heyAwak:As for now, 7 dulang from him and I have to prepare 9 dulang in return. I think I am screwed...
